I don't hate Windows in case any of you are wondering. This may be blasphemy to some Linux diehards. Windows has a place in the computing world. However, although Windows is the most popular OS I don't think it is the best one out there. For stability, security, I have to say that Linux, Unix, OS 10.2 are the best operating systems. For ease of use I'd say Windows and OS 10.2 get the nod. Windows has the most available software. I suppose I'm disheartened by the number of security issues related to Windows.
Linux will continue to gain a foothold in the market place as the user interface improves. Joe average computer user doesn't want to know about the inner workings of unix. OS 10.2 for Mac has got it right. A bullet proof OS underneath a sleek GUI, very nice. I have a question though. Why are power macs so darn expensive? My favourite OS, Linux still has a ways to go before more people jump on board. Mandrake is going in the right direction.

I guess after I learn the command line, scripting in Bash would be next. Do any of you Linux gurus out there have a suggestion for a good command line book? That is, a command line book that is not just about RH as I'm not running RH. Thanks.
