Downloaded, installed apt and synaptic which is an excellent GUI install interface for downloading, installing programs and updating my system software. Now, my sound card.........sheesh.

Success! Downloaded, installed Mozilla 1.4 using tar.gz archive at Mozilla.org. First time using bash shell to decompress, install programs in Linux. Very cool. I think this means I'm officially a nerd, a Linux weirdo. This is a great day.
Next gotta crack the RH9 bible and learn how to configure my sound card.
