Finally figured out how to connect to RHN. My version of up2date had expired, so I had to download a new version from the Red Hat Network. Took me a bit of time to run the installation from the command line as I wasn't sure of which packages to install. Had a bit of trial and error, crashed my unit once. But, now new version of up2date installed and able to connect to RHN and check for new system updates.
Man, I can see why most people stay clear of Linux.
