Installed a router on my home LAN today as I wanted a hardware firewall solution. Interesting to note that my network is faster, system performance is better after the install of the router.
The router will make networking easier when I upgrade my current linux box to a new distro. I'm still in evaluation mode; I'll most likely go with Slackware.
